I met with my mentor, who explained to me the requirements of a DNP project, including clinical hours to describe all the processes before, during, and after implementation. This conversation was fascinating because, at this moment, I will need to start research on my clinical setting needs to focus on a topic to develop in my project.

I used four hours reviewing literature about strategies and organizational protocols, understanding their proper performance of them. I need to be prepared to interview my co-workers and other stakeholders with the skills a nurse leader needs to accomplish their role. This exercise helped me appreciate my position during the implementation process in my DNP project as a leader..

I met my preceptor, and we contacted my mentor vis skype to introduce both of them. My preceptor was instructed about the DNP project and the program requirements to guarantee to succeed. This activity provided me with many details to consider before the execution to help me smooth the process. I participate in an interprofessional team as a nurse leader in the clinic setting, and we discuss patient outcomes. This activity provides me with ideas to develop my DNP project. Today I analyzed the possibility of implementing new guidelines or protocols to help to improve patient care and outcomes in my clinical setting.  I spent 2.5 hours identifying gaps in each clinical necessity to converge the Practicum Project. Before implementing my project, I integrate my expertise with existing literature to create an evidence-based protocol. EBP can designate other clinicians and me by establishing adequate treatment and patient care practices . Rather than delivering one-size-fits-all care, I am creating a care plan that operates individually for patients and the organization. I met face to face with a statistician asking him to help me on my DNP project, analyzing the data. I explained all the processes, including program objectives. He was very interested but is helping many students and will be unavailable when I need to start my implementation. I spent 3 hours meeting an expert in nursing leadership from a similar healthcare center. She explained to me her experiences during her DNP project implementation, the importance of the early assessment of the organization, staff, and participants, and being prepared with tools to avoid any barriers. I was pleased with this meeting; it gave me more strength to go far.
