Attached, you will find a template for your use.  Sample Template.doc

Sample “Essay” and/or “Case Study” Response

NOTE

*  Change “Student Name” to your actual name.

*  On pages 1 and change the header “title” from “PROJECT MANAGEMENT” to the title you give to your document.  The page header “title” must be in ALL CAPS on all pages.  Keep the words “Running head:” on page 1 only.  The page header “title” will automatically change on pages 3 and so forth.

*  Change “Heading A” and “Heading B” to the name of the headings you specify, based on the content of your paper.  Keep the bold.  Remember, the first letter of all key words (generally, 4 or more letters) should be a capital letter.  For example:

Comparison of a Project Manager to a Typical Manager

If necessary, you can add additional level one headings.

*  Replace the sample/example reference page entries with the actual references (sources) you use.  Of course, one of the sources you are required to use (see each assignment’s instructions/directions) is the course textbook.  So, you can keep the course textbook reference (the first reference page entry shown) if used, according to the assignment instructions/directions.

*  Add your own content and delete the “helpful tips” for the content.

Key points

1. Use your own words to convey your ideas on the topic.  The majority (80%) of the content should be in your own words.

2. Include source material (e.g., course textbook) to support (justify) your position on the subject.  IMPORTANT:  See the assignment instructions to determine what type is required for each assignment.  Note:  In some cases, specific chapters from the course textbook must be used (cited) as source material.

3. Add relevant real-world (professional) examples or scenarios to illustrate your understanding of the concepts.

4. Use the “ABC” spelling and grammar check feature to ensure the content is accurately expressed.

5. Ensure you specifically address (provide a response for) all elements, questions, etc. identified in the assignment instructions.  Be clear and add enough detail for a sufficient response.

6. Make sure you meet the requirements of the assignment, for example:  word count or page count, inclusion of a title page and reference page, and proper use of the APA style (format) for all citations and reference page entries.  Use, at least, level one headings--in proper APA style.  Ensure the running head (page header) and page numbering are shown, too.  The entire document (including page header and page numbers) should be in Times New Roman font, size 12.  Use one-inch margins (left, right, top and bottom of each page).

Assignment Instruction:  Define and explain what is meant by the term “Project Management”.  Compare the roles of a typical manager to a project manager.
