According to this article, spousal homicides are more likely to be perpetrated by men as compared to women. The authors focus on a research that centers delineating attributes of women who have committed spousal homicides.In the findings, it is evident that homicides perpetrated by females as a result of mental illnesses, homicide-suicide, and domestic violence are deplorable. In a Quebec sample, it was found out that about 28% of the female offenders had previously been subjected to some form of violence by their spouses and victims. In conclusion, the males are the main perpetrators of homicides with few cases of women killing their mates in the last decade.

According to Muravyeva, the history of domestic violence, not even the homicide, has a lot to written about in Russia. The article focusses on thelegal attitudes that are usually upheldtowards domestic and specifically in domestic homicide in the early modern Russia and analyzes the methods used to execute the killings. According to the study, households in Russia were violent places, an aspect that may have attributed to the increased cases of assaults and homicides. However, in all these acts, women had the highest death numbers as compared to men.

The main aim of this study was to enlighten on the ongoing quest for efficacious treatment of domestically violent women. Hence, their representation in cases of intimate relationship homicide were described for a period of about 15 years in Houston, Texas. After the study, it was found out that females comprised about 40% of the offenders in domestic homicides and assaults.It was also evident that females are more likely to perpetratehomicides and other violence in non-marital engagements.

The authors suggest that every year about 33 percent of females and about 3 percent of males who are murdered in the United States of American, are as a result of intimacy, love, and engagements or co-habiting between men and women. Death among pregnant women are caused by an intimate partner with thevictim or the deceased across the country. It is not only in America where this problem is facing the people and households, but also among other nations, especially in the developing world.

The Book examines the killings among the intimate partners in regard to domestic homicides entailing all their guises. Hence, the analysis focuses not just on murders between partners, butalso the homicides that lead to the death of children, siblings, and parents as well. According to the analysts and researchers, the study in this book stands out to be distinct since most of the paststudies and research focused on statistical findings to explain domestic murders. However, Websdaleanalyzes the complex factors that facilitate domestic killings. The factors analyzed include kinship systems among different cultural groups, the nature of families that experience homicides, and types of gender and social oppression.
