Assignment
In your data brief you noted what elements of your data that you were exploring, analyzing, and visualizing. The story map was your opportunity to determine the flow of your presentation. This assignment is to present the findings that are the outcome of the work you've done in this class. Emphasis should be on data visualization, critical thinking, and clear insights.
The purpose of this assignment is to apply your knowledge of taking raw data, analyzing it, and crafting it into a presentation. The metrics you pick to include in your presentation should help tell your story. For example, if you analyze website page views and find there is nothing interesting with that data, then that is not a story you want to base your project on. Keep digging in the data until you find something noteworthy. Does something spike or drop significantly? That could be something to look at further. Are you trying to make a case for why a business should make a change? What data do you have that can tell that story? This analysis is intentionally very open because you had the freedom of choosing your data source, so you are the expert on what that data looks like and what interesting trends or conclusions should be presented.
Presentations should be PowerPoint format and include at least 5 slides of content (your analysis, charts, and insights). It must also include a title slide, a conclusions slide that lists the key insights the audience should learn from your analysis presentation, a source citation slide, and a closing "thank you" slide.
