· Experiences with the International Student’s Office

Student# 1

My experience with the international student office at SLU was most likely positive.

Student#2

students office services and I have positive experience with it generally. For that reason, I always suggest studying at SLU to my Saudi friends

Student#3

Currently, numerous Saudi International Students are enrolling in the United States higher learning institutions. Subsequently, they are often affected by cultural and social experiences they face during their period of study. Despite this, they require support and assistance from the international student’s office for a satisfactory learning experience. Additionally, the international student’s office at the Saint Louis University encourages the intercultural growth and development amongst students and universal perceptions of students at large. They help international students cope with the new, unfamiliar environment they are exposed to. Notwithstanding, like other international students, Saudi students experience some difficulties during their study at Saint Louis University, these comprise distinct academic practices and different social encounters.

· Events or Programs Supported by the International Student’s Office

Student#1

There is a lot of services that the international student office offers for an international student. The most significant day Is the international celebration day. In another hand, The ISO also supports the Saudi National day every year that encourage Saudi students to present their culture in the campus. However, that will be a good idea if ISO informs new students at SLU about the religious and cultural activities that are related to Islam. When I was a new student, I did not recognize that there is a mosque on the campus. I will suggest that ISO should announce a new Muslims student where they can practice their religion and how can they be involved in activities that are related to their cultures. It will be a great idea if the ISO communicate with The Saudi Students Association at SLU to help new students about transportations, housing and other activities that are offered in the area of Saint Louis.

Student#2

The international student's office offers many great opportunities for international students to present their culture and introduce it to the whole community. For example, providing Saudi students with a chance to celebrate the Saudi international day and show their culture based on their unique way and send emails to all SLU members to encourage them joining their Saudi friends. Also, the taste of Saudi is an event that introduces the most famous traditional Saudi food.

Student#3

The global students meeting enables Saudi students to unleash their prestigious and marvelous cultures and religion to the world. This has made the Saudi international students gain courage concerning their religion and customs. Furthermore, at first practicing one’s religion in a new and unfamiliar surrounding is always difficult.

· Difficulties in Understanding Religion Perspectives at the Saint Louis University

· Student#1

No, I did not face any discrimination related to my religion. However, some people ask me about Islam. Most of the people who I met mentioned that Islam is a religion of mercy and peace. They did state that extremism could be in any group of people or faith.

Student#2

From my experience, SLU community is friendly, respectful, and open. However, sometimes I face some difficulties to practice my religion freely when I exist on campus. Sometimes, I feel difficult to find an empty room to pray on campus. Also, In Ramadan, it difficult for me to attend the face to face classes because of not eat or drink from morning until the end of the afternoon. Also, in some cases, some Saudis cannot celebrate their religious holidays because of classes or exams.

Student#3

I have not experienced difficulties in practicing my religion and customs. Additionally, it is a free world hence the students at the institution do not judge one another based on their religious dogmas.

· Availability of Information About Campus Facilitations Related to Culture and Religion

Student#1

No, they did not.

Student#2

I think yes, the international student's office informs the new Saudi student about the campus facilitations related to their religion and culture activities. However, I see that the international students office depends on only the orientation day to introduce their activities to the international students. From my point of view, this is not enough. So, the international students' needs to be closer to the international students and pay more attention to the different needs of international students to provide them with the best services and activities so they can be succeeded academically and socially.

Student#3

Yes, the International Student’s Offices at Saint Louis University has affected several and distinct activities and facilitation generally for the members of the community to assist international students to adapt and feel comfortable to succeed socially, religiously and academically.

I have expressed positive views regarding the activities and facilitation provided for by the International Student’s Office on religion and cultural practices. However, there are several important pointes the International student's office can do to improve their serves for Saudi Students at Saint Louis University

· What do you think saint louis university can do to improve things for Muslim or minority students?

Suggestion to improve

I suggest providing Saudi students with a private area on the campus to practice their religion freely. Also, it will be a great idea if it is possible to attend some classes via Fuze in Ramadan as understanding their religion and help them to practice it comfortably. In addition to that, Muslims have a right to celebrate their holidays with their friends and families. In addition to that, social media is the most effective tool nowadays. So, it will be useful when the international students have a Facebook page, for example, to exchange their experience and their different culture. Also, that will help international students to help each other easily and quickly. Moreover, it will be a great idea when having a strong collaboration between the office of international students and Saudi club for more efficient help.

Dear

I took these suggestions from internet so please redo then in different word and change verb tense

· What do you think school districts can do to improve things for Muslim or minority students?

· Suggestion to improve:

· Universities should help Muslim students during these troublesome times. Frequently, services directed toward Muslim students operate through student affairs offices, while in conjunction with other offices on campus, such as student development offices, diversity/multicultural offices, and international student offices.

· The office advocated for spaces welcoming all religious groups, encouraging interfaith interactions and dialogue.

· Services also need to expand outside of faith-based activities. For many women, not just those wearing hijabs, gym hours can be uncomfortable because they wish to exercise in a more comfortable environment away from the hyper-masculine atmosphere traditionally accompanying college gyms.

· reserve select gym hours for women only. special women-only pool hours. This is not only helped women wearing hijabs, but all women on campus
