I have chosen this topic because it has become an issue being debated for a long time. Most students are varnishing because of alcohol use. It is an issue that needs close intervention as it has become a great menace to the society today. I have invested enough in this topic through the research I have been conducting. I have done observations from time to time and understood how students are getting addicted through the use of alcohol. Some of them have even dropped out of school to concentrate on the drug (Karam, Kypri & Salamoun, 2007). The topic is important in our schools today because, the schools will try and step out to educate the student on the effects of drugs and maybe offer counselling sessions to the addicted students.

From my point of research I would state that they may cause of alcohol use in the university can be attributed to bad company. I know of many students who joined campus not alcoholic but through the company they chose, they are alcoholic. Some of the key things that contributes to poor grades can be one stress over the exams, pressure from the parents and also heartbreaks. Alcohol use is very dangerous more so when becomes addicted. They never concentrate in school but think about alcohol. They end up losing focus and their grades will immensely drop. They will end up getting bad grades. Alcohol use is dangerous. When one gets started, they start thinking fun until one day they find out that they cannot do without alcohol. They end up being addicts who cannot go a day without get drunk.

From my point of perspective, I think that the students need to know that alcohol use is dangerous to their health. Some of them can start sessions of talking to the students on the effects of alcohol use. The possible solution to this issue is for the addicts to quite slowly or approach someone who can help them stop the addiction. The school club can come up with different sessions educating the students on the effects of alcohol use to the students.
