The Progressives

The changes that were put in place during the progressive era remained in place because the workers worked in better conditions though they were not good to make the workers feel comfortable while at work. But when compared to the conditions of the workers during the Gilded Age, these conditions were better since workers were not put to work in conditions that might cost them their lives. During the gilded Age and the progressive era, according to the film watched, it is clear that the poor was made poorer while the rich became richer and by making the workers to work in poor conditions, their health is affected, thus rendering them unproductive. This will further make them poorer because an individual who is not productive in the community will remain poor.

The progressive Age was successful in initiating changes to the working conditions of the workers because the condition that they work in was improved, thus ensuring that they do not sustain injuries while at work. Before the progressive Age, workers would even die while on duty during the Gilded Age and when the working conditions were improved during the progressive Age, fatalities at the workplace reduced and to date, working conditions are being improved hence indicating that the progressive age was successful. The proposal made by the progressive age regarding how working conditions of the workers changed the nation because measures were put in place to ensure that the employees were protected. The business that does not consider the working conditions of the workers needed to be closed until when they can improve the working conditions for their workers thus preventing deaths and injuries of the workers while on duty.
