Action Research Project

Part 2 Project

Write a paragraph or two introducing the contents of the paper here. Indent the first line of each new paragraph 1/2” and use only double line spacing with 0 pt before and 0 pt after paragraphs for the entire paper and the References page. The main body of the paper needs to be at least six pages and nine pages are typical. Part 1 was about what you were planning to do (future tense) and this Part 2 is about what you did (past tense). Do not include the directions to the assignment in the final submission. You do not need to resubmit the Unit 3 Part 1 paper.

Scope and Purpose

Reiterate the problem, why the problem needed changing – and say why using Action Research to address the problem and the change was a good approach.

Data collection and compilation

Include a description of what you obtained data about, what methods you used, how well the data collection process worked or did not work, how you compiled the data for the purposes of feedback, and the subsequent analysis.

Confidentiality

Describe how you handled the ethical issues of confidentiality, who had access to the data, how you handled the challenges related to your own proclivities to interpret the results for others, rather than involve them in analysis and interpretation, and, without destroying your own interest in the project.

Analysis of outcomes

Describe the design of your feedback process, including how you facilitated interaction related to analyzing the data and developing joint action plans.

Results

Describe the specific results of your action research project relative to what the project was intended to accomplish.

Reflection / Future

State in retrospect what you now realize could have been handled differently and describe what you will need to do to become more effective as an internal action researcher in the future.

Conclusion

Summarize Part 2 of your project. Reminder: it is in your best interest to have your paper reviewed by the Writing Center prior to submitting it for grading review: plan ahead to allow enough time to meet the deadline.
