Introduction

Among most of the countries in the world, abortion has been made illegal. Only a few countries in the world agree that abortion should be legalized. The legalization of abortion in the few countries in the world does not necessarily mean that the women are set free to act carelessly and to get pregnant and to terminate the pregnancy. Except in the circumstances where the mother of the baby's life is in danger, most of the countries have agreed that abortion is illegal (Dworkin 2011). Most of the nations that have come out and legalized abortion have done that because of specific reason which might be hidden. Some of these reasons included the country attempts to reduce population growth in the country to avoid the straining of resources. Some of these nations also claim that abortions are a way of getting rid of pregnancies that have not been planned for. One factor that they fail to put into consideration is the fact there are other ways one can use apart from abortion such as adoptions. This is where women are not ready to take care of their children once they are born. Abortion has led to the loss of many lives which at some point would have made great people in their lives.

The physical health of the women are damaged immediately they carry out an abortion. When one gets pregnant, their bodies begin preparing themselves to carry a baby in for nine months. This means that there are hormones that are produced in the process have nowhere to be taken when an abortion is carried out. They, therefore, affect the tissues of the body and one becomes physically unhealthy. Once one carries out an abortion, they do not go back to the state they were before they became pregnant. They are in a different physical state. Most of the research that has been carried out by the doctors and other medical practitioners have proven that the women who undergo abortion are at a higher risk of having long-term physical and emotional health problems (ESHRE 2017). The effects might be very bad, and in some circumstances, the women might not be able to give birth due to the hormones that are produced destroying the womb. The decision that they make might end up affecting them for the rest of their lives. Apart from their physical state, their mental and emotional state is also affected. Once one has carried out an abortion, the decision will keep haunting them for the rest of their lives. This is because abortion is murder. They will live for the rest of their lives knowing that they killed someone. They will always have an imbalance in their emotional state, and some of them end up having emotional and mental disorders.

Most of the religions and the cultures in the world believe that life begins at conception and not at birth. Comparative research that was carried out by the medical practitioners showed that the major religions in the world which include Christianity, Muslim and Hindu believe that life is so precious and if life begins at birth, then it should be protected at all cost. Muslims consider an abortion to be an act of murder, and there are serious consequences that may occur to the Muslim women who end up carrying out an abortion. For the Christians, they believe that precious life should be protected at all costs and in some cases, the women who carry out abortion might end up being banished from the worship places because they have killed. Termination of pregnancy is murder no matter the reason behind the abortion. The different religions believe that once a baby has been conceived, then they should be born no matter the circumstances unless the woman has undergone a miscarriage.

Abortion is considered dangerous for both the life of the mother and the baby. Many countries in the world have made abortion illegal which has made women who want to terminate their pregnancies to carry it out in secret. In most of these cases, the different government has made medical practitioners to sign an oath against helping women to carry out an abortion. Therefore, it is not done according to the medical practitioners’ guidance (Chuang Et al. 2012). This has hence made the women look for other methods of carrying out an abortion which is in secret in the absence of medical practitioners; hence they have put their health at high risk. They have thus carried it out in dangerous scenarios that some of them have tampered with the womb. Some of them end up sterile in an attempt to carry out an abortion in dangerous circumstances and have lived to regret their decisions. Some in the efforts to terminate their pregnancies have bled to death. This shows how dangerous abortion can be risky to both the life of the mother and the baby.

From a logical perspective, abortion is considered as murder and murder should be punished. Abortion does not return the women to the state they were before they became pregnant but has made them the mother of dead children (Weale, Bicquelet, & Bara 2012). Several methods can logically be used instead of carrying out an abortion. Other methods that can be used when one is not ready to take care of the child due to financial status or maturity include adoption. Different adoption agencies can arrange an adoption. Such families can consider adopting these children rather than killing them to satisfy one's selfish needs. A baby is very precious to be killed before it is born. Most of the babies who had died before they were born could be very helpful to the world. Some of them could have come up with systems that would have changed the perception of the whole world, but their potential is cut down even before they are born.

Even though everyone seems to be against abortion, some people still believe that abortion is the best option. Some of the countries such as the United States have legalized abortion, and it is totally in the hands of the mothers to choose whether to carry out an abortion or not. In some of the unique circumstances where the women might have gone through terrible ordeals while they were getting the pregnancies such as being raped (González 2012). The women might decide to get an abortion because they do not want the shame of a child out of such ordeals or to some of them, the children remind them of the ordeals that they went through during the time that they got pregnant. Some of them due to the post-traumatic stress disorder that they went through hat made the make irrational decisions such as carrying out an abortion.

In other countries, abortion has been legalized due to unknown reasons such as to reduce population growth. The country has considered that even in cases where the adoption agencies can help the women to take care of their pregnancies and eventually give them out for closed or open adoption, there would still be population growth in the country. This would soon the countries would not be able to carter or the resources of all those people, and eventually, there would be a strain in resources. Other would consider it to be the right of the mother of the child. Since it is the mother of the child who decided to have unprotected sex, then the mother decides to choose whether they want to have the pregnancy or not. They believe that other factors might be considered, but as long as the child is not born, then the decision still lies in the hands of the mother.

Conclusion

Abortion is considered to be an act of murder in most countries, and therefore it has been made illegal in these countries. Logically, there are better ways to handle unwanted pregnancy such as adoption rather than terminating the pregnancies. Nearly all the religions and cultures in the world believe that life is so precious and it begins at conception and not at birth. This, therefore, means that abortion is murder and should be made illegal in globally.
