Introduction

The two variables of interest are lateness and student’s grade. Lateness according to Online Dictionary is defined as the fact or quality of happening or arriving after the expected or usual time. Therefore, lateness is the act of coming to class after the teacher has finished teaching other students. Grade is a proof of academic accomplishment of a student at school. It is accepted that a relationship exists between lateness and students’ grade. The more times students get to class after teacher has finished teaching other students, the worst their grades. This signifies the number of times students get late to class will impact their grades. As a matter of fact, the lateness tends to negatively impacted student’s grade. This analysis is vital because students need to know that not attending class will result to missed opportunities of learning that could affect their academic attainment.

population

The targeted population is of interest is high school students from different schools in a given region. The participants will be students who are always on time in classes. Moral issues will include issues of trust and honesty with the participants. Participants will be assured that the information provided will be kept confidential and no real names will be used during data analysis. Again, students will fill the questionnaires privately and drop them in a designed place for pick up.

The materials

The survey will warrant the students to respond by completing questionnaire

2. What is your grade / GPA last semester?
