“Some Topics Discussed in Course”

· Week 1- Motivations for earning a doctorate. - Wrote a brief explanation of your motivations for earning a doctorate. Explained my goals for the EdD program. Gave my projected date for completion of my doctorate? Explain why this is realistic.

· Week 2- The Research Problem: Beginning Your Search- In this week it was my first task as a doctoral researcher is to begin a search for my research problem. Considered my passion. What do you care about? What problem in your educational specialization interests you the most? Try to express this in a single sentence that begins with the words, “The problem is…” This can be your starting point in developing your research problem

· Week 3- “Capstone Components”- In this Discussion, you considered an example of a capstone paper, and offered your perspective on it.

· Week 4- Developing a Writing Routine- In this week I learned that One of the key competencies needed to complete a doctorate is a disciplined writing routine.

· Week 5- Refining the Problem Statement-In Week 1, I began my search for a problem statement, the first task in building a doctoral capstone. This is not a process that happens quickly; it can take many months. Typically, a student continues to refine the problem statement until the proposal is approved, well into the capstone process.

· If more weeks of topics are needed then send me a message…….
