The above results are a justification that there I a gap in security policies that guide the management and use of cloud services. For example, in figure One less than half of the participants agreed that they trust third party service providers in cloud environments yet a majority of the people about 98 percent believed that data security privacy and trust are critical considerations within cloud environments. Of the four critical aspects of data safety (compliance, accountability, transparency, and governance), a number below average was registered confirming that all of the participants do not have faith in the way service providers handle these factors while pointing out to weak oversight. These results point out to the fact that there is the need to establish a legal, comprehensive and strong base of trust, security and privacy definitions with an effective oversight to ensure compliance, accountability, effective governance and transparency in cloud service delivery.
