Week 6 - Discussion

No unread replies.No replies.

Your initial discussion thread is due on Day 3 (Thursday) and you have until Day 7 (Monday) to respond to your classmates. Your grade will reflect both the quality of your initial post and the depth of your responses. Refer to the Discussion Forum Grading Rubric under the Settings icon above for guidance on how your discussion will be evaluated.

Course Reflection

Initial Post: Post an initial, post addressing the following:

· In a paragraph, summarize your career plans with the Master of Arts, Special Education degree, which may be the same summary you provided in the Post Your Introduction discussion, or a revised version, if your career plans have evolved since posting in that discussion.

· In a paragraph, explain how this course supports your career plans and overall professional goals.

· List three areas of learning from this course that you learned the most from. Describe the listed items in detail.

· List three areas of learning from this course that you want to learn more about. More specifically, in as much detail as possible, explain what you would like to learn .

Guided Response: Post replies to at least two peers. Provide resources for peers about the areas of learning they wish to learn more about, offer advice about future career plans, and/or share any experiences that you consider valuable to their development. This is also an appropriate time to pose questions to your peers who may have experience in a particular area that you are interested.

Though two replies are the basic expectation, for deeper engagement and application of the material, you are encouraged to provide responses to any comments or questions others have given to you (including your instructor) before Day 7. Be sure to ask questions of your peers to gain additional information and to meaningfully continue the discussion. This ongoing engagement in the discussion will deepen the conversation, while also providing opportunities to demonstrate your content expertise, critical thinking, and real-world experiences with this topic.
