Getting Started

During this course, you interviewed a leader about their experience with leading change initiatives, fostering innovation, and promoting organizational knowledge. This week, you have the opportunity to learn from your classmates by sharing your summaries of your Leader2Leader talks. As you read each other’s summaries, consider how a person’s values and virtues impact their ability to enact change. What is your biggest takeaway about leading change? This consideration will aid you as you complete your final course project - a proposal for a change initiative plan.

Upon successful completion of this discussion, you will be able to:

· Inquire of another leader as to their innovative approaches to organizational change.

· Reflect on own motivations for organizational change and innovation through listening to another leader’s experience.

To prepare for this assignment, read through your Leader2Leader insight paper and prepare to share it with your peers.

Instructions

1. Review the information in the Getting Started and Background Information sections.

2. Based upon your Leader2Leader paper, post a 250–300-word response that summarizes the two most substantive insights you gleaned from the Leader2Leader interview. Consider the following:

a. What have been your biggest takeaways from this course?

b. Is there anything you have learned that you have already implemented or will implement soon in your own organization?

c. In light of what you have learned about the needs of adult learners, how might these needs have been considered within this course’s content?

3. OPTIONAL: If you wish to share for common learning, feel free to attach your Leader2Leader talk insights paper in addition to composing your initial post for the week.
