Due: June 17, 2020

This research paper will be a chance for you to learn about other cultures by researching holidays. Address the following prompt, and feel free to add more detail as you see fit.

Choose a holiday (any holiday) and describe who celebrates it? Where is this holiday celebrated (globally? In one particular country? Is it celebrated only in the home or does the larger population join in?) How do they celebrate? What foods do they eat? What music do they listen to? Are there special dances associated with it? Is gift giving involved? Compare this holiday a holiday that has a similar theme (i.e. Chinese New Year celebration vs. American New Year Celebration). What are the similarities? What are the differences?

When researching your paper, please make sure that you use AT LEAST 2 academic resources (this includes books and peer-reviewed journal articles). Wikipedia, Britannica.com, and National Geographic do not count as academic sources. You can use additional sources as well, but you need to make sure you have at least 2 academic sources.

Paper should be:

1) Double Spaced

2) 1 Inch Margins

3) Times New Roman or Arial ONLY

4) 12 point font

5) A Full 5 Pages

6) Your heading and title should not go further down that what you see above on this paper

7) At least 2 academic sources are needed

8) Don’t use slang or profanity

9) Don’t bold, all caps or italicize words for emphasis
