This class is very fortunate to have students from multiple countries. So how are we different and how are we the same?
Since the 1960's I have been involved in the global market. 1st as a buyer of raw materials from Australia, France and Africa. Then the purchase of finished products from Japan and Italy followed by the sales of those products to North America and Western Europe. Whose laws and whose currency would be used was the two items on the contracts. The way around the issue in both cases was to use an international trading company based in Japan to handle the legal and financial issues. Basically they bought the products using the home countries laws and currency and sold it to us for North American consumption in US laws and currency. For Western Europe it was in Dutch laws and currency.
How about the rest of the class, did you ever get involved in B2B or even B2C between countries?
