Module 5: Design Thinking Project Planning

Problem/Opportunity Identification Stage

· What problem do you want to solve?

While the birth of more and more scientific and technological products, human need to use more electric energy to satisfied the market. However, the thermal energy produced by more electric energy has not been used or developed reasonably by human beings, which leads to the deterioration of the environment and the aggravation of energy consumption.

· What opportunities do you see?

I want to recycle the heat generated by the use of high-tech electronic products. The heat energy is collected by my new product and converted into electric energy or other energy for recycling.

· What new product, service, etc. are you thinking about (general description)

In my opinion, it's best to plug in a computer or mobile phone to absorb heat energy for conversion; if it's a high-power technology, maybe try to use external peripherals to support slug.

· Who may benefit from solving the problem?

I think it's all of us, because the earth is still facing global warming. Blindly putting ice is not an effective solution. Although the heat generated by electric energy will not be completely transformed, it still helps to alleviate environmental degradation. At the same time, people who use electronic products can also save electricity and reduce part of the energy consumption.

· How will you define success? What indicators will tell you if you are successful?

I think the success of converting the heat energy of electronic products into electrical energy is success, so once the new product passes the test, it can be said that it is successful. Because this product is aimed at alleviating the environment, with the proviso that people can reduce their electricity consumption. Therefore, if there is a clear indicator, it is the sales volume of this product. The goods should not be demanded.
