The Northern Territory Government has published the draft Action Plan 1: Changing attitudes, Intervening Earlier and Responding Better (2018-2021) (First Action Plan) onto the Have Your Say website. The First Action Plan is the first of three rolling action plans in implementing the Northern Territory Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Reduction Framework 2018 - 2028 Safe, Respected and Free from Violence (the Framework).
The Framework was launched by the Minister for Territory Families, the Hon. Dale Wakefield on 4 December 2017 representing the Northern Territory’s ten year commitment to preventing and reducing domestic, family and sexual violence within the Northern Territory.
The First Action Plan seeks to establish the foundations for the Framework, recognise the Government’s commitment and build on the range of positive activities that are already underway across the government and non-government sector and create the necessary approach for projects and reforms that will drive change.
