The purpose of an executive summary is to provide an overview of the document, and it should contain its main points. The survey answers consisted of executives, managers, directors and individual contributors.

The two areas that the company can focus on to reduce employee burnout are work life balance and practicing stress management techniques. There seems to be a communication gap as well. Employees should have a work life balance to recover from stress. It may be taking an afternoon off, switching to a different type of work or project, or lowering quotes for a week or two to provide some breathing space. It’s important to pay attention to the overall health, well-being, and stress levels of the team so you can be proactive in adjusting workloads, timelines, and expectations. Focus on building a work environment that encourages transparency and honesty. Some employees may not want to talk about their circumstances outside of work but make it an option for them. Let the team members know they can turn to you to discuss what they are dealing with outside of their job.

Practicing stress management techniques is essential to keep stress under control. Try breathing techniques, short walks to get away from their desk, controlling your emotions, time management to keep from getting stressed. Set some boundaries so you can stay on track and say no so team members do not get overwhelmed. Deep breathing or aromatherapy are good stress relievers as well. Schedule breaks for the team so they can declutter their minds. Focus on positive thinking and try to get some exercise.
