Getting Started
This assignment builds upon the library research skills you have used in previous modules. You have already had an opportunity to locate sources and use information. The Annotated Bibliography provides another occasion to conduct research and build a list of resources for your final research paper.
Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:
· Apply expository and persuasive writing techniques.
· Demonstrate the ability to craft a research paper in APA style incorporating sources from an annotated bibliography.

Background Information
Now that you have an outline of your paper, it is important to solidify the research content you will use. An annotated bibliography is a catalog of information you have located. Each entry not only includes the source information but a summary of the content and a description of how you could use the information in your paper. At the end of your outline in the previous module you identified at least eight sources. For this assignment, you will be choosing five sources and create an entry for each. You are not restricted from finding new sources if you choose. The reference list you submitted should serve as a starting point.
Instructions
1. Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.
2. Using the sources from your list of references at the end of your outline in Module two, scan through them.
a. Review the table of contents, the index, the introduction and conclusion (or the first few and the last few paragraphs), and any abstracts or summaries that might be available.
3. In a Word document list the correct APA format for the first source.
a. Repeat these steps for the remaining resources.
b. For the website, include the web link.
4. Following each citation, write a five to eight sentence description of each source. Include the following information:
a. General overview of the content.
b. Specific features and unique characteristics and possible applications.
c. How the source may be of use to you in your research paper.
5. Prepare an annotated bibliography including at least five sources.
a. Your document must be at least 500 words in length.
b. By completing this assignment, you are identifying potential sources for your research paper due in WorkshopFour.
6. Follow APA style guidelines when formatting your assignment.
a. A cover page should accompany your submission.
b. If you need assistance with APA format, refer to the APA 7e Guide and the content in the McGraw-Hill e-text.
c. For an example, download and refer to the Sample Annotated Bibliography Entry file.

Excessive police violence as a public health issue Outline
Introduction
· In the United States, police service has to play a crucial role in protecting the public regardless of skin color (Cooper & Fullilove, 2016).
· The men in uniform. Lack of restrictions worsens the population's health, as the consequences of police use of force can lead to personal injury, injury, and death.
· In general, the oppression of minority groups undermines people's well-being, so excessive use of police violence has become a social determinant of health.
· This plan is based on excessive police violence as a public health issue.
· Americans face police atrocities based on their population and their geographical location.
· For example, some locations are associated with substance abuse and illegal activities such as trafficking and rape, especially blacks' activities.
· As a result, discriminatory police profiling of these residents is predominant. Therefore, these locations require essential medical services.
· Police violence is associated with injuries. Therefore, public health agencies should consider introducing injury prevention programs in hospitals to help police shootings and beatings.
· Drakulich et al. According to (2020), in the United States, blacks die at the hands of police officers (Drakulich et al., 2020).
· The result is a large-scale protest in which oppressed people try to resist police atrocities.
· In the 2016 presidential election, various civil rights movements were widely reported in the media as candidates campaigned for the race and patrolled from different angles.
· Black Lives Matter has created new citizenship concerns as some of the presidential candidates indirectly alleged police atrocities against individual races.
· Seemingly discriminatory police behavior leads to unification discrimination and polarization between races.
· As part of the Black Lives Matter Initiative, various unions of human rights defenders have come together to fight for blacks' rights at risk of police violence.
· These activists have played an essential role in organizing and conducting public demonstrations aimed at political campaigns dominated by black hatred speeches and slogans.
· Racial and political issues are directly related to the voting model and affect the US presidential election.
· For example, the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton supported the Black Life Matter movement and worked on police profiling to win more votes in minority-controlled states.
· Based on these allegations, police atrocities and racism are essential determinants of US voting's nature and outcome.
Conclusion
· Police brutality and violence has become an issue in the United States.
· Most people of color have been victims of police violence and cruelty, which have greatly affected these individuals' well-being.
· Racism has mostly been associated with psychological torture.
· The impact of the vice is heightened by police violence, which greatly affects these
individuals' well-being.
