For this Moodle Activity, I would like you to answer EACH of the following four questions.  Each answer should contain a few sentences. Please type your answers directly into Moodle.

Questions:

1)       Your friend runs a small business, and she only uses "on-the-job" training methods. Explain to your friend the challenges of using on-the-job training. Also, describe ways of making on-the-job training more effective.

2)       As the owner of a privately-held information technology company in Bergen County (NJ), you spend a sizable sum of money training new employees. Your company also experiences a relatively high rate of turnover, as is common in the IT sector. To reduce costs and maximize the value of training expenditures, you decide to implement the following rule: only employees who have been with the company for at least two years and are under the age of 40 will be permitted to participate in “expensive” training programs (i.e., programs costing more than $3,000 per employee). Your reasoning is that these employees are the most loyal, the most likely to stay with the company, and the most likely to benefit from training. Is this reasoning correct (based on what we’ve covered in this course)? Why or why not? Is the company taking any risks if it decides to implement this rule? Explain.

3)       Why is ethics training becoming more prevalent in companies?

4)       If you had to interview job candidates for a "corporate trainer" position, what traits and qualities would you look for?
