For this class, you are going to create a "make-believe" business. You may not have any desire to make your own business, so you will need to use your imagination and think of a business that you might like to start. Like many assignments in higher education, you will be writing about a topic that you may know little about. That can be an advantage in this class as one of the purposes is to have you citing specific outside sources and learning to include direct references in your writing. Citing an article in order to get a score higher than 70 begins with this Assignment #2. After studying at least one of the articles, answer one of the following questions,
1. Which of the five ideas in "Never Get a Real Job" do you think will be most helpful in starting your business? Why?
2. Which of the five ideas in "Never Get a Real Job" does not apply to you in your thoughts about starting a business? Why?
3. Discuss your thoughts about starting a business and how one of the 3 articles helped you narrow down your ideas.
4. How will you take advantage of your strengths and weaknesses with your business idea?
5. How do you think starting the business you are considering will change your life?
6. If you know why businesses fail, what could you do to avoid failure in your business?
