Purpose:

In this activity you'll use technology to create graphs and compute statistics. You'll create a variety of graphs using student-generated data and answer questions about the output.

Here's what to do:

Step 1. Here's a Google document with all the questions that you need to answer. You'll need to File > Save a Copy of the document before you can work on it. I've left space for you to include images of your graphs. (You can insert images into the document. You're also welcome to share a link to a Google document to "turn in" your work that way.)

Step 2. The data set you're working with was collected from students in statistics class in the winter and spring of 2019. Load the data set into the technology.

Here's a Google Sheet of the data. You'll need to make copy of the file (File > Make a Copy) and save it to your own Google Drive.

Step 3. Answer the questions in the activity from the Google Doc file. Use technology to make the graphs and compute the statistics. Use the videos to help you, Google for answers, or ask questions here: Questions you have while learning

Step 4. To turn in your activity you'll upload a .docx (or .doc) or .pdf file of your answers to the questions -- look for the activity name in the Assignments tab of D2L. Please use these file formats so your work can be graded.

Skills for using technology you'll need to complete this activity

I've given a link to a video to help you learn these skills. Use the Internet to help you find more resources, as needed.

Use Desmos to make a histogram/dotplot/boxplot/statistics (by your instructor):

When in doubt, just Google it. ;-)
