Assignments |
Homework Questions: You will see I have already uploaded sample homework Multiple Choice Questions clearly indicated on Wiley+. These questions are not marked and they are for students to attempt and practice and answer will therefore be provided. Students can learn where they are getting it right and learn where they need to improve. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT STUDENTS ATTEMPT AS MANY OF THESE QUESTIONS AS POSSIBLE. THE BASIS OF THE “GOING THROUGH HOMEWORK” IN THE TEACHING FORMAT SECTION WILL BE WORKING THROUGH THESE QUESTIONS WHERE STUDENT HAVE ISSUES WITH THEM. Assignments: It is key that you read the chapter material prior to each class. Learning accounting is similar to learning a new language (accounting is called the “language of business”), therefore lots of practice is required. It is strongly recommended that you attempt enough exercises and problems to master each chapter’s learning objectives. First do the Review Problem at the end of each chapter, then review the Questions and complete the Exercises. Tackle the Problems to drive home the chapter even further. Practice makes perfect! The experience of solving accounting problems is essential for learning the concepts and meeting the time constraints of accounting examinations. The questions noted on the last page of this outline should be taken as the minimum work required in order to understand the BUS 247 course material. You should work on these problems on your own or in a study group. It is expected that the average time taken on BUS 247 course is two to four hours for every one hour of class instruction (= approx. 4 – 10 hours per week depending on your previous accounting knowledge). During this time it is expected that you will read the text and attempt exercises and problems. If you are not prepared to put in significant time outside of class to learn accounting you will find it extremely difficult to achieve a good mark in the course. You are expected to work through the Wiley+ MC questions and the Wiley+ longer questions on a student self study basis and contact the professor when you have questions in the Q and A sessions. Online Multiple Choice Multiple Choice Homework questions: This ONMCQ are designed to supplement your text. It is recommended that you complete them in a timely fashion, after completing the Sample MC questions as this will greatly assist your performance in both the on-line tests, Quiz 1, mid term and final examinations. Additionally, you can also do practice quizzes and questions in Wiley+, which is highly recommended. PLEASE NOTE: Please note all evaluations are on-line via Wiley plus. It is your responsibility to complete the Wiley+ homework assignments by the due dates. Please consult course structure below for due dates for each Chapter: 1) Weekly MC ( Multiple Choice Tests) - 10 in all (Chapters 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 20% NO EXTENTIONS WILL BE GRANTED WITHOUT PROVISION OF A NOTE FROM YOUR DOCTOR SO PLEASE NOTE THESE DATES DOWN SO YOU DO NOT MISS THEM!!!
