Part 2 - Case study (specific)

In this section, please specify the case study you have selected – you do not need to add the case study to your plan (you will add to your final assignment in the appendix).

· Analyse the case study, identifying a possible diagnosis from the description provided, justifying reasons for selecting the type of mental health problem, linking with available literature.

· List important factors (bullet points) which will help you to identify a possible diagnosis for the person; add the definition of the selected diagnosis (with the reference); prevalence and incidence rates in the UK; you can also make reference to DSMV ICD-10. Consider the advantages/disadvantages of a diagnosis.

· You are also required to analyse examples of the possible forms of treatment and intervention and how the person can be supported, taking into considerations the available mental health services in the U.K..

List the possible forms of interventions and the services available for the person.

· You are also required to discuss the implications of this diagnosis for the person concerned, including any potential risks.

·

· List also some of the potential risks for the person (here you can take into considerations risks of not seeking treatment and other factors which will represent a potential risk for the person.

· Critically reflect on how two examples of current policy and legislation would define best practice to meet the holistic needs of this service user.
