Go the dropbox where you uploaded your title page in eLearning
Download and save it, re-naming the file LastnameF_Lab_02.docx
Change the date on the title page to today’s date, and make any corrections based on feedback from last week’s assignment.

Formatting and Organization
The word “Introduction” DOES NOT APPEAR! Instead, the title is used as the section header
Copy the title placeholder you used on your title page
Everything should be paraphrased [correctly]. NO DIRECT QUOTES!!!!!
Include APA style citations
Do not cite sources that you have not read (i.e., no secondary citations)
Inverted pyramid: Very broad at first, but increasingly more specific

Introduction: Opening
Introduction - the purpose of the introduction is to build a case for why you would conduct the study that you are reporting
Inverted pyramid: Very broad at first, but increasingly more specific
Open with general information that:
provides the reader an introduction to topic under study (e.g., descriptions/definitions)
shows the place of the study in a broad context (e.g., why it is important to study jury decision making, eyewitness testimony, etc.)
includes a statement of the GENERAL purpose (as opposed to the specific purpose, which comes at the end of the intro)
INCLUDE CITATIONS!
At least one narrative citation and one parenthetical citation for Loftus (1974)
May include additional information that you must cite and reference
References Section
The purpose of the references section is to provide the reader with information on the sources cited in your report
References start on a new page after discussion
The word references appears at the top, centered, bold, with a capital R
Not “Works Cited” and not “Bibliography”
Continue to use double spacing
Use hanging indent formatting
Include EVERY source cited and ONLY sources that are cited.
Do not cite or include a reference for something you have not read!!!
