to experiential for this one. 😊
Getting to Know Stress
Please answer the following
questions to the best of your ability.
Use full, formal sentences, but
there’s no need to write this in an
essay format…question by question
is absolutely fine. Should be 2-3
pages when you’re finished. 😊
1. Identify the top three triggers for you when you have a stress reaction.
2. What kinds of thoughts do you have in response to that trigger?
3. What are some physical effects of stress for you?
4. What kind of emotions do you have in response to your triggers?
5. Is there anything you can do in the moment that reduces the stress trigger? Describe
here. If you don’t feel there is anything you can do in the moment to reduce stress, why
is that? What is contributing to that feeling?

What are your reactions? Can you see how your triggers relate to our ancestral brain?
7. I’d like you to describe one way you can combat:
a. The physical symptoms of stress
b. The thoughts that keep the stress response continuing
c. The emotions associated with stress
In your description, come up with a plan to try each of these.
8. Try one of the techniques you came up with in question 7 and review it, describing if it
worked for you and anything interesting that came up while you were trying it.
