Paper instructions: Teachers Comment on my version of Problem statetment. I scored a 48 which shows on the Rubric. Please just revise this paper with all that she says is not good. Base the Problem statement on my Global Problem File.
-You need to find better sources to support your ideas in your work. Two of your sources (Edwards &Pacas and American Psychological Association) are not academic/peer-reviewed sources. You cannot use things like websites, blogs, or editorials in your research since they are not academic works. To locate more appropriate sources, please use the Excelsior library. On the main page of the library, you can use the search bar to make a query. -You seem to be confused about the general and specific problems. You listed what I am assuming is your general problem as your global problem (I noted this in my comments in the text of your paper). Later on, you identified a second specific problem related to cultural diversity. From what I can tell, your specific problem is the lack of access to education among children in poverty. You do not have a second specific problem. You need to clarify this in your paper since this is an important element of the assignment.
-You need to remain neutral in your writing style and approach to your topic. The problem statement is not a place for your opinion or thoughts on the Wicked Problem nor is it the place where you insert your ideas about what the solution to the problem should be. The problem statement is merely a description of the problem, evidence that the problem is global, and evidence that the problem effects people with different backgrounds (diversity). Later in the course when you are completing Module 6, you will have a chance to discuss what you think the solution of the problem should be using the research you have done in the course to support your ideas. For now, it is important that you remain detached and unbiased in your work since it is an academic paper.
-You need to work on including more evidence that your problem is global and diverse. You need to include at least three examples each that prove your problem happens around the world and affects different types of people (diversity). It is a good idea to use what you completed in 4.3 to help you reach this goal. Make sure you are using academic/peer-reviewed sources in order to demonstrate the global and diverse elements of the problem.
-You need to wok on your writing style. Your writing style should be formal for this paper. So, you should not write it like you are talking to a friend. You need to avoid using the first person (I, me,
we) and instead use the third person (he, she, it, they, them) throughout your work. You also do not need to use any contractions. It is also a good idea to proof-check your work. Some of the issues with your assignment is related to a lack of clarity in your writing. I noted a few of these in the text of your paper so you could clarify or correct them.
