UP Company 1

1. Introduction:

Brand Identity

The company in this project is named UP Company. UP will be located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The company is focusing on promoting gym sessions, especially in the workplace. UP in Saudi Arabia is crucial because there are many people who are in need of the services offered. For example, Saudi Arabia has been experiencing some increased health concerns due to obesity. According to James and Zoller (2018), obesity is among the leading causes of death in Saudi Arabia and can be prevented. Based on the findings of Forbes Saudi Arabia has been ranked 29 on the 2007 list showing the countries that have fattest people. Saudi Arabia has over 68.3 percent of its citizens being overweight. As a result, UP operating in Saudi Arabia is very appropriate as the people in workplaces need a gym in order to control obesity. Therefore, UP Company will be offering gym services at workplaces to help employees in reducing the possibility of becoming overweight.

Background

UP will assist employees in Jeddah especially those who have tight working schedules. This will entail availing gym services in organizations to assist the employees in doing some exercises that can make them keep fit. Also, the employees who do not have the time for going to the gym will be able to access the gym services at their workplaces. The employees will be motivated to join the gym sessions as they will be able to access the services at their work stations. According to Bull, et al. (2008), having a healthy environment can be crucial in enhancing the productivity of employees. As a result, through the gym sessions, UP Company will be able to ensure the health environment in organizations located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In addition, UP will engage the employees to encourage them to join the gym sessions. This will entail making them understand the impacts that obesity has on their health like leading to an increased probability of lifestyle diseases.

Mission statement

The mission of UP is to provide high-quality gym services that can meet the needs of employees in organizations especially the ones in Jeddah. This will entail providing gym services to the employees in a professional manner aiming at achieving a healthy working environment. UP will focus on making sure that employees are happy and able to fight obesity thus making them productive in their workplaces. For example, Edmunds, Hurst, and Harvey (2013) argued that physical exercise like the one provided by gym sessions can assist in making employees productive. This is because through physical exercise employees can be able to manage stress related to their work obligations. As a result, the productivity of employees can be enhanced through participating in gym sessions.

"to enhance the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities through responsive services that enable quality of life independence, safety, function and dignity."

Vision statement

The vision of UP is to offer safe gym sessions to workplaces in Jeddah. This will entail being committed to provide high-quality machines that can enhance the level of gym services accessed by the employees. UP Company will ensure employees are committed to fight obesity through enrolling for the gym sessions to improve their health. According to Siddiqui and Shahid (2012), gym sessions are crucial in increasing organizational performance through making the employees productive. This is possible because the employees who participate in gym sessions are likely to have good health thus improving their commitment to work towards achieving the set objectives.

to improve physical fitness of employees in workplaces through commitment to offer gym sessions that are of high quality to exceed their expectations.”

Values

The values of UP Company can include quality, integrity, honesty, professionalism, cleanliness, and teamwork. The company will ensure it is dedicated to provide gyms sessions that are in line with the physical exercise needs of the customers. Michael Campbell (2014) argued that projects need to ensure they align their goals with the interests of the targeted customers. This will entail providing gym services that are friendly and welcoming to ensure the improved achievement of the set goals. The target audience will include the employees looking for gym services especially in the organizations located in Jeddah. This will on both public and private organizations as the primary focus of UP Company will entail providing gym sessions that can promote good health through decreasing obesity.

2. Scope Project:

UP Company provides products and services that are in line with the needs of employees in both public and private sector. The services and products entail gym sessions that are tailored to minimize obesity among the employees in order to ensure they live a healthy life. UP will ensure it has the appropriate knowledge concerning the gym needs of the employees in the workplaces. This will help in making sure that the gym services offered are in line with the needs of the employees. As a result, UP Company will be able to meet the taste and preferences of the employees in the workplaces. According to Malik, Blake, and Suggs (2014), it is through engaging the employees that their interests and preferences can be easily understood hence providing the relevant services. Therefore, the UP-Company’s product scope will entail making sure that interests of the employees are put in place in designing the gym sessions. According to Welch (2014), the moment work for many hours sitting, they are likely to develop detrimental impacts like becoming obese hence developing lifestyle illnesses like diabetes. As a result, there is the need for employers to invest funds in encouraging a healthy workforce. For example, one of the best ways of improving physical fitness among employees can be investing in the corporate gym. Therefore, UP Company will play a crucial role in the process of availing corporate gym sessions for the employers who are looking for ways of ensuring a healthy workforce through improved physical fitness.

3. Objectives:

1. To introduce small gym sessions in workplaces by 50 percent of the organizations operating in Jeddah.

2. To meet the physical exercise needs of employees in the workplaces to make them improve their productivity by 30 percent through promoting their health.

3. To reduce obesity by around 40 percent among the employees who have tight working schedules.

4. Budget:

UP is planning to start its operations on January 2021. It expects to do a minimum of 6 gyms sessions in a year. The projected profit will be $101400 for one year if we meet the expectations. Based on the Research about the gym Machines in Saudi Arabia I did the budget schedule. The financial issues that are considered to be outside our control include the changes in government policies such as taxation leading to shifts in costs of operating. Also, inflation is another financial issue that can be considered to be out of control. This project competes for funds better than others because it is aimed at addressing health issues that have been of great concern in Saudi Arabia. For example, this project will assist in addressing the issues associated with obesity that has led to increased deaths from lifestyle diseases like diabetes.
