3. Consider the following case:
“I witnessed a BCBA behave physically aggressive toward my student. She crossed his arms over his body while he was on the ground and when he got up his lips were blue. I am not sure which ethical code this violate if any.
Hint: 4.08 Considerations regarding punishment procedures/ 4.09 least restrictive procedures
· Include in your answer any documentation that should follow the above mentioned incident.
4. Discuss the following scenario:
I work in Hialeah with Hispanic families, and they love giving gifts, food. When professionals such as behavioral analyst go to a home session, the parents will often bring out elaborate food/snacks, etc.
Please discuss which ethic code best apply code item 1.06 or 7.01, or perhaps both.
5. Reflect on the following case scenario:
“it was brought to my attention that one of my RBTs has a picture of a former client (no longer receiving service from us) on her phone. The mother of the client sent the picture to the RBT and frequently gives us updates on the child’s well-being due to the family moving from one state to another. Is this a violation of code 2.06(e)?
6. If an RBT is listing herself as a “behavioral analyst” on social media (Facebook and Linkenld), it seems that this violates code 10.07. I have notified this RBT (who reports that she will take the BCBA exam the next time it is scheduled) that this label should be changed on her social media and anywhere else.
Should you contact her current BCBA supervisor or file a report with the BCBA or both?
7. Discuss the following case taking into consideration code 4.08
My kindergarten-aged client has an IEP meeting schedule for tomorrow. We received a draft of the Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and behavior intervention plan (BIP) last night. I read in the BIP that the school is using a seclusion room called a “calm down room”, which the mother told me is a padded closet with a locked door.
