Case Study Waypoint #2

Write two sections of your case study: Company Background (description/history) and Global Benefits (the company's global position and what the company gains from operating globally). For the latter section, please include some of the company's challenges it has experienced (overcome).

Please construct a Word document (times new roman 12-point font, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, APA 7th edition in-text citations and end references). Please create a Reference page for your sources. When complete, upload your document to Canvas using the appropriate link (you can upload it as many times as you want up to the deadline noting that the last submission will be graded. All submissions will be checked against SimCheck (a plagiarism tool). The below SimCheck criteria will be used as one of the grading criteria for your waypoint.

· If your SimCheck score is 15% or less, you will start with the maximum possible points available.

· If your SimCheck score is 15.01% - 25%, you will start with 80% of the maximum possible point available.

· If your SimCheck score is 25.01% - 40%, you will start with 60% of the maximum possible points available.

· If your SimCheck score is 40.01% - 60%, you will start with 20% of the maximum possible points available.

· If your SimCheck score is 60.01% or greater, you will receive a zero.

In addition to the above stated, your case study waypoint will be graded on your ability to follow instructions and further on the developed product (how much effort you put into it). I will provide specific feedback at each waypoint so you may further refine your document in preparation for the final case study submission. Your waypoint does not need to be perfect (I would consider it a concerted-effort draft).

The waypoint is worth a maximum of 12.5 points.

Term Paper Waypoint #2

Now that you have selected your industry and topic (the IS/IT trend), you will create a term paper proposal. Please include the below sections (using the bulleted titles (not bulleted in your document)) and construct a Word document (times new roman 12-point font, double-spaced, 1-inch margins) and upload it to Canvas using the appropriate link when complete.

(Provide your industry and topic)

· Why I chose the industry and topic

(Please write a few sentences  as to why you chose the industry and topic.)

· Why I find the industry and topic exciting and important

(Please construct several sentences stating why you think the industry and topic are interesting and valuable. Remember: I am your audience, and I also need to find it appealing…convince me.)

· The question I want to answer

(Please write a proposition in the form of a conclusion (the focal point of your term paper) which you will then demonstrate or prove in your term paper. Be specific as your proposition will denote the direction of your paper.)
