Identifying a Business Problem

The purpose of this discussion is to help you begin thinking about a business problem you may want to investigate for the course project due in Unit 9.

Based on what you have learned about RPZ Marketing and from this unit's studies, identify a problem to investigate for your project. Your discussion post should include the following:

• The business area in which you see RPZ facing a problem.
• The nature of the problem based on the scenarios you have reviewed in the course so far, and at least one reason why it is a problem.
• A question that could guide your investigation.

For example, focusing the efforts of the sales force can have a major effort. If this were your interest, you might explain in your post:

• RPZ Marketing appears to be facing a problem in its sales organization. Sales people are bringing in a wide variety of opportunities and this diversity is pulling company resources in too many different directions. As a result, RPZ Marketing cannot operate efficiently and is not as profitable as it could be.
• How can RPZ Marketing most effectively focus its sales efforts?
