Adam Smith and Thomas Malthus had quite distinct views about the future of capitalism. Summarize each writer’s views. Then assess which writer came closer to the truth, or if neither was particularly close, describe the strengths and weaknesses of each writer’s projection, given today’s capitalist economies.
