Discuss the importance of defining criteria for source selection prior to receiving bids from vendors.  Discuss how to determine the weighting of criteria for different types of projects and for different types of procurements.  Provide examples (either from projects you have worked on or from case studies) where over-weighting a single criteria may have resulted in selection of a vendor that may not have been the best fit for the project.
