who want to welcome my peers to first day of class? 100 words

Good Day Professor and fellow course mates. My name is Kirstie Flores, and I currently reside in the city of Yigo on the island of Guam. I am a mother of three and work full-time. I have enrolled in the Associate program for Early Childhood Education; although, I am highly motivated to continue with the pursuit and completion of a Bachelor level degree. I currently work as a class teacher at the Naval Base Guam Child Development Center (NBG/CDC) that provides care for children within the infant to preschooler range. Over the years, I have gained a great deal of knowledge and experience teaching children at these levels. Also, I am excited to learn more about challenging behaviors in a CDC setting. Understanding how to comfort and control challenging behaviors in a positive way will guide me towards my commitment of teaching. Furthermore, I look forward to achieving teacher status within a school based Head Start Program after completion of my degree.

I am enrolled in this course because it is part of my degree for Early Childhood Education. I believe understanding about this course will give me knowledge about English language learners. It has changed for the past decade because of the increased population of authorized immigrants that have settled on American soiled. This has challenged the way I think about others wanting to learn English due to the increased population of different cultural backgrounds. However, I hope this course will help me to teach children who struggle with understanding the English language because of their cultural background. I look forward to learning what this class has to offer.
