People in developed countries are fond of warning developing countries to stop destroying rainforests.  Developing countries often respond that this is hypocritical, because the developed nations became wealthy by deforesting their land and exploiting its resources in the past.  Provide an ecologically- (not emotionally) driven argument for either side and be prepared to defend it with FACTS not opinion.  If you use outside material (which I strongly suggest), be sure to cite your source.
