Choose a local problem from the list above in your community about which you would like to write an analytical report. The readers of your report should be people who can take action on your findings, like the mayor or the city council. After defining the rhetorical situation in which your report will be used, develop a step-by-step methodology for studying the problem. Then, collect information on the topic.

In your report, present the results of your study and discuss those results. In the conclusion of your report, make recommendations about what local authorities can do to correct the problem or improve the situation.

The topics listed are broad: you must develop a focused thesis. For example, if you select “under-age drinking,” you should narrow the theme down to a specific place, community, or age group.

The report should be at least five (5) pages, single spaced, appropriate margins.  It should include necessary graphs and/or visual representations. ·Include a Works Cited page to account for all researched information that is part of your document.
