Theories and practice of development

In this class we examine the theories and practice of development.You are going to write a paper on any part of childhood development that interests you. The APUS library will be a great place to start this search. 

You will need to explain key concepts that are unique to specifically your topic. You must also answer three questions:

1. How are the concepts presented similar to ones we learned about with McDevitt? 
2. Why you picked this topic over others and how it will enrich your understanding 
3. What learning objectives does this topic cover? Please explain in detail.
   • This paper will be three pages long, not including title and reference pages. This means 1000 words at minimum! Abstract and references do not count in your overall word minimum. 
   • APA format is required with abstract 
   • APA does not use first person. Do not use the word I! Use your writing skills in answering the three questions without using first person.
   • Two sources required- not including our text 
   • You MUST use in-text citations. References will not count if you simply post references at the end of the paper.
   • You may not use Psychology Today, Redbook, or similar sources for your material. You may not use Websters, Wikipedia nor WebMd or other similar online sources in your paper. 
   • This paper must be submitted as an attachment, NOT as a paste. You MUST use MS word or RTF format only- other formats will not be opened, nor graded!
