Country Project Option 2: Itinerary and Travel Planning
Preliminaries
The Assignment
Using the Interactive Spanish Map as a source, pick one Spanish-speaking country. Plan an itinerary for a one week trip to that country including places/cities you will visit, sites, monuments, museums, festivals and/or performances you plan to see, etc. Your trip may have a specific focus (such as Inca civilization, or colonial cities, or ecology, etc.), or it may be a general overview of main touristic highlights of that country. Do not worry about the logistics of the trip such as where to sleep or eat (unless food is the focus of your trip) or about how to get from one place to another.
Your itinerary should include the following:
- an explanation of the theme or focus of the trip (general tourism, baseball in the Dominican Republic, Aztec civilization, etc.) and why you selected that theme for the trip, that is, the significance of that topic in the country you will be visiting, and what you hope to learn while on your trip
- a day by day list of sites/activities you will see
- a description of these sites/activities and why you selected them
- optional: photos (from the internet) of some of the site/attractions you will be seeing
