Assignment Description:

For this week's post, you need explore several professional networking sites and make a list of qualities that students should consider when writing and posting to professional networking sites. Write a memo to the students enrolled in ENGL& 230 outlining the list you create. 

Assignment Purpose:

The purpose of this assignment is to engage with and analyze professional networking sites. Additionally, the purpose of this assignment is to help students recognize standards when writing and posting to networking sites. 

Assignment Instructions:

Explore several professional networking sites (e.g., LinkedIn, Ryze, Spoke, etc.). What are the differences among the sites you selected? For instance, LinkedIn, Ryze, and Spoke all offer to help you see your network of professional contacts, but does one of these sites offer a better visual display of connections? Do all of the sites let you upload your resume and provide a list of references? 

Additionally, if you have an account with any professional networking site, look at your profile to see how well it reflects your current experience and career goals. 

In a memo to your peers in ENGL& 230, make a list of five or six qualities that students should consider when writing and posting to professional networking sites. 

(Remember to include opening and closing paragraphs in your memo, and remember to state the subject and purpose of the memo in the opening sentences).
