In prekindergarten, I have experienced the focus on Student-centered centers with two to three children together. This is good for children that need to farther develop social skills. The children learn to use self-regulation of the emotion. The children at this age need to send a lot of time working on social and emotional skills. The teachers are more like facilitators, this leads to higher achievement, while helping students social and emotionally. Cooperative learning is also good for circle time students lead the conversations. The teacher uses cooperative learning to help children start student-centered approach to learning and sharing daily information. This starts their day with conversation and interaction. The student talk and interact through conversation which helps to build their oral, language and vocabulary. It is for the teacher easy to manage small groups. The teacher can also assess several students working together. Student feel that have a say in the classroom, they make decision and learn to work through problem on their own.
