Critical literacy is very important for students outside of the classroom. There is reading everywhere. It does not stop at the classroom door. Examples of such reading is newspapers, magazine articles that discuss inequality and injustice. Critical literacy demonstrates the student's ability to reflect upon such reading and draw their own ideas and conclusions.
