here is my classmate post

The belief that has held me back the most in life is the belief that good things come to those who wait. I use to believe that, then I woke and smelled the roses. Good things don't come to those who wait! Good things come to those who take charge, make decisions, and get things done. The people that take life by the horns and are committed to heading in a particular direction in life are the people that good things happen to. Whoever came up with the saying "Good things come to those who wait" must of been an advocate of procrastination. Procrastination has led many regrettable missed opportunities in my life which im sure others can relate to which include: missed chance at forming a relationship with someone, missed opportunity for higher education at an earlier stage in my life, and missed career advancements.

When I refer to missed relationships of course what comes to mind is the one that got away. I think most people can relate to wondering what life might of been like had they had the nerve to approach someone they had a romantic interest in instead of making excuses to delay. This delay was crucial to the path she chose in life.

Missed opportunity for higher education at an earlier stage in my life has resulted in a delay of obtaining my bachelors degree. Had I not taken my time and just applied myself, I'd already be done. With a higher level of education, its possible I may have achieved a higher wage at this stage in my life.

Missed career advancement opportunities are the result of me not being aggressive enough in my approach to advanced learning of the systems associated with my job. Had I taken a more proactive approach in my career and less of cruise control mode then I could have potentially advanced further within my company.
