Research Question and Hypotheses
Conducting a successful research or analysis effort begins by clearly identifying a research question and developing relevant hypotheses for answering a specified research question. However, mistakes in this initial step often derail entire research efforts. Watch the video (LINK BELOW) Hypothesis 101 (and other social science concepts) to understand the process for developing a hypothesis and the relationship between the Hypothesis and variables. We will focus on variables next week.
Identify two common mistakes that you believe researchers and analysts make when identifying their research question and subsequent hypotheses. Then briefly explain how these two common mistakes can be avoided.
Your initial post should be at least 250 words in length. Support your claims with examples from required material(s), and properly cite any references.
