Research Paper

Students will write a research paper on a selected aspect of Atlantic history. The selection of the topic is up to the student, though it must also be approved by the instructor.  

Focus of the Research Paper

The paper must meet the following criteria:

• show connections for at least two continents
• include some aspect of slavery or the slave trade
• address the theme of revolution
• be 8-10 doubled-spaced pages in length
• use at least eight sources, two of which must be primary sources
