Develop a paper or powerpoint presentation relating to a particular artist such as: Van Gogh Oops, I used that as an example so therefore, VanGogh is taken)

A good place to look is www.artcyclopedia.com. Make sure to cite ALL references.

Project has two parts:

Create a research paper or PowerPoint -
Go to the library to research an artist from any century.
Be creative in your choice of artist!
Use reference books and the internet

Oral presentation of the material

Information to include in the paper, 3 pages, double-spaced including

Name, date and period 
Birth date and provenance (location) 
Where they lived and studied 
Major Accomplishments 
What made their work unique or changed the direction of art? 
What style of art did they produce? 
3 Visual illustrations – Xerox or print images from sites online

Oral Presentation to the class includes

Computer generated Report with visuals OR PowerPoint with slides and handed in here.

Time for oral presentation is 5 minutes. Write or print out what you intend to say and rehearse it before your presentation.

Grading Criteria 
Oral Presentation: 50 points (thorough, accurate information) 
Paper or PowerPoint Presentation: 50 points,
