Use Regression under Data Analysis for the following 2 problems:    
        
    ***If you don't see Data Analysis on your Excel, for older versions you can add it to your Tools pull-down menu by going to Tools, clicking on Add-Ins, and checking the first box for Analysis ToolPak. Now Data Analysis should show up as an option on the Tools pull-down menu.    
        
    ***For the newest version of Microsoft Excel,    
    1. Click FILE (upper left corner), and then click Excel Options    
    2. Click Add-Ins, and then in the Manage box, select Excel Add-Ins    
    3. Click Go    
    4. In the Add-Ins available box, select the Analysis ToolPak, check box and click OK. If Analysis ToolPak is not listed in the Add-Ins available, click browse to locate it. If you get prompted that the Analysis ToolPak is not currently installed on your computer, click Yes to install it.    
    5. After you load the Analysis ToolPak, the Data Analysis command is available in the Analysis group on the Data tab.     
        
    Problem 1. To determine the relationship between a person's stride and height, each is measured for 12 people with the following results:

    where x is the stride and y is the height.    
        
    Find the correlation coefficient, determine whether it is significant at the 0.05 level, find the regression equation and predict the height given a stride of 15.5 inches. Also include a scatter plot.    
        
    Problem 2. In order to calibrate a protein analyzer, a regression equation is determined between three independent variables and the dependent variable which is the protein. Each variable is measured for 15 samples with the following results:

    13 -48.4 45.5 -39.8 15.7
    14 -52.4 50.5 -43.8 15.8
    15 -48.4 40.1 -40 17
        
    Find the regression equation using A, B and C as the independent variables and Protein as the dependent variable.
