Reflection Paper

1)  Look up the Dada and Surrealist movements (early 1900s art movements)

  a) Determine if they constitute a social movement by referring to the 5 criteria I discussed in class and explain

  b) Did these movements reflect social change that had already happened in society at that time or were they a catalyst to change, or both?  Explain

  c) Look up some examples of the artwork.  Do you like it?  Why or Why not?

2)  Look up a Ted talks video on social change/social movements

   a)  Provide a brief summary; speaker, title and description of content of the talk

   b)  Discuss what you agree with and what you disagree with 

   c) Tell me something new that you learned from the video

3)  Read about Iceland and it's prime minister and  follow questions I referred to in question #1 about social movements
