In recent years, the world has witnessed a revolution in manufacturing. In large part, this has occurred as companies have recognized the strategic importance of the operations and supply chain management functions. Recent interest in sustainability has changed the focus in many companies as they try to develop an operations strategy that does not become quickly outdated or copied. Strategic considerations in operations management include all the topics mentioned in the first couple of chapters. I understand that these chapters are an introduction and we will spend considerable time this term covering them in greater detail. Choose one of them and develop the topic using the text and of course, you are welcome to complement the first couple of chapters with some appropriate learning's from the Internet.
