Over the years two players have been the stuff of legend. Michael Jordan and LeBron James have been dominating the NBA scene since the start of their careers. First, they are both prolific scorers, finishing their shots in the most unimaginable fashion. Secondly, they both showed what they had by winning multiple championships. Lastly, they both had the ability to be clutch but it came in different moments. Now let's take a look at two of the greatest players in NBA history.
First things first, LeBron James and Michael are both great scorers but they have different styles. While LeBron is more of a power scorer, dunking with ferocity and backing down defenders with no remorse, Michael Jordan was more of a finesse scorer with the ability to score at will. Taking as many shots as they would need both players took over the floor. Michael would bust a move on a defender and take it to the basket with such grace. LeBron is more of a post up or basically unguarded force.
Secondly, even though they both are champions, Michael has the edge in the rings department. On top of the fact that Michael won more he also is 100% in his ventures into the finals. Although, LeBron has had a more difficult path to the finals, he’s never really had a complete team like Michael Jordan has. The fact that LeBron went to his first finals appearance basically by himself, his teams have also been riddled with injuries. Thus making most of his finals appearances either obsolete or an utter failure.
Lastly, Michael and LeBron both have the ability to be the most clutch player on the court at any time. Michael would literally take the ball and control the court by himself. James is more of a full court control type player, taking the game into his hands by dishing passes to open players. Both methods are very intelligent but have their flaws. While Michael would have the ball most of the time not all of his shots went in. He would sometimes have to make up for his faults in some spectacular fashion. LeBron on the other hand has made his mistakes but always had at least one person to piggy back on. These players teams each needed them to be in the position they were in. Either the teams were the victor or they lost in horrible defeat. None the less they were all time great teams.
In conclusion, we have to consider all aspects of these two players careers. Both of these men have been called the greatest to ever do it. Both have become champions, broken records, don't the impossible and then some. Becoming a great player was more or less easy for these men. LeBron being the physical talent that he is and Michael as I would put it, just being Michael. Their careers are both worthy of major praise.
